Ivory Coast is playing a crucial game against Norway in the Round of 32 of the FIFA World Cup 2026. One of the starlets who has emerged for the Elephants in this edition has been their blistering 19-year-old forward, who plays as a winger for the Bundesliga club RB Leipzig.
Born on November 14, 2006, Diomande has quickly established himself as one of the most explosive, highly coveted young talents in world football. Growing through the ranks of American soccer, Diomande started his football career from the youth system of DME Academy, which is located in Daytona Beach, before signing for Spanish side Leganes.

Diomandé has emerged as one of the breakout stars of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The youngster became the youngest player to represent the Ivory Coast at the tournament, earned the Man of the Match award on his debut against Ecuador, and has played a key role in guiding his nation into the knockout stages.

Following a sensational campaign with RB Leipzig, Diomandé established himself as one of Europe's most sought-after talents. In 33 Bundesliga appearances (28 starts), he scored 12 goals and provided eight assists, playing a pivotal role in Leipzig's third-place finish.
His outstanding performances have sparked an intense transfer race across Europe, with Leipzig reportedly valuing him between €100 million and €130 million. Liverpool tabled substantial offers in an attempt to sign him as a long-term successor to Mohamed Salah.
But according to several transfer reports, Diomande has made Paris Saint-Germain his preferred destination. The Ivorian star recently admitted he "expects to leave" Leipzig this summer, even as the Bundesliga club continues to insist they are keen to retain him.
