Who will be the Next Real Madrid Manager? Five Names who can Take Charge as Carlo Ancelotti departure Confirmed

By MyKhel Staff

Real Madrid are in the market for a new manager as the Spanish club confirmed Carlo Ancelotti's departure on Friday (May 23).

The Italian has left Real Madrid and will now be taking charge of Brazil immediately. Although the deal was done way ago, the Spanish giants made it official on Friday.

Who will be the Next Real Madrid Manager

Real Madrid has been in tatters this season. After an unceremonious exit from the Champions League at the hands of Arsenal, their quest for the Copa del Rey title ended without success. After a pulsating encounter, they lost to Barcelona 2-3 as Jules Kounde scored a 116th-minute winner in the Final. They also failed to make a mark in the La Liga and relinquished the title to Barcelona.

Carlo Ancelotti set for Brazil

Carlo Ancelotti was unveiled as the new Brazil manager earlier this month, as the Italian is set to take a new adventure, this time in international football. Ancelotti will be in the Brazil dugout for the World Cup qualifiers in June, where they play Ecuador (Away) and Paraguay (Home) respectively.

Who will replace Ancelotti at Real Madrid?

Amid this, Real Madrid's season doesn't end after the La Liga. The Spanish giants will be participating in the Club World Cup, a new FIFA venture which will see 32 clubs participating in the inaugural season of the competition.

With Ancelotti leaving immediately, Real Madrid would need a manager who can guide them in the competition. The Spanish club is expected to consider the Club World Cup seriously as the season hasn't been the best for them, and they will be aiming to rope in the new manager who can take the reins.

Five Coaches who can replace Carlo Ancelotti at Santiago Bernabeu and take over duty in Club World Cup 2025

Xabi Alonso

Currently managing Bayer Leverkusen, Alonso has garnered attention for his impressive work in the Bundesliga. A former Real Madrid midfielder, his deep understanding of the club's culture and tactical acumen make him a leading candidate. Reports suggest he is the favorite to succeed Ancelotti at Santiago Bernabeu.

Santiago Solari

Solari, Real Madrid's former interim manager and current Director of Football, is considered a potential interim solution. He could oversee the team during the Club World Cup, providing a seamless transition before a permanent appointment.

Zinedine Zidane

Having previously led Real Madrid to multiple Champions League titles, Zidane remains a revered figure at the club. Currently without a managerial position, his return is a possibility, given his past success and familiarity with the team's dynamics. The French legend knows the club from inside out and can be the successor for Ancelotti.

Jurgen Klopp

After departing Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp has taken a sabbatical from football. However, he has expressed interest in managing Real Madrid in the future. While his immediate return to coaching is uncertain, his long-term aspirations align with the club's ambitions. But many reports suggest the German has already declined offers from Real Madrid.

Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho, a former Real Madrid manager, has hinted at the possibility of returning to the club. His experience and previous tenure could make him a viable option. Currently at Fenerbahce, Mourinho has been in constant odds in Turkish football and a return to Real Madrid can be a welcoming move for the Portuguese.
