Why Arsenal are best positioned to win the title ahead of Liverpool and Manchester City?

Arsenal absolutely demolished West Ham United 6-0 on Sunday in what was a statement from the Gunners. With Liverpool and Manchester City in the title race, Arsenal have often been overlooked by most.

However, the Gunners have made a statement that they are also very much in the title race with Liverpool and Manchester City and are ready to take the title race to the wire. In fact, they could be best-positioned to win the title this season due to a number of reasons.

Arsenal have already suffered setback

In a long season, it is only natural to suffer a bit of rough patch along the way. Even the best of players suffer a dip in form and injuries and suspensions are also there. However, Arsenal have one major advantage over Manchester City and Liverpool is that they have already gone through their poor patch of form and have recovered from it.

They look completely rejuvenated right now and look hungry for success. Mikel Arteta has seemingly learnt from the setbacks and the Gunners have looked a lot improved particularly since their 3-1 win against Liverpool.

Bigger squad depth

Arsenal certainly have a lot bigger squad than both Manchester City and Liverpool with Mikel Arteta strongly believing that he needs competition for each and every position. Even at goalkeeper, the Gunners have two elite options in Aaron Ramsdale and David Raya.

Such squad depth could play a crucial role and give the Gunners a big advantage over Manchester City and Liverpool. Manchester City have struggled with injury problems to their star players this season while Liverpool’s injury problems continue to grow bigger and bigger.

Mikel Arteta’s tactical awareness

Mikel Arteta is a tactical genius in the making and he looks to be getting better and better. The way the Spaniard had managed his squad and adapted to situations is really commanding for a young manager. While he is against stalwarts like Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola, Arteta has every right to believe that he can challenge the duo.
