Why Arsenal have been labeled as the 'cringiest' football club
Football fans have mocked Arsenal football club as "beyond cringe" after they installed a dark Premier League trophy inside their training facility.
Arsenal were the surprise package during the 22/23 season, storming to the Premier League title. But despite dominating most of the season, they fell short of Pep Guardiola's Manchester City at the end of the Premier League title.

Now ahead of the new season, the Gunners to keep the dream and enthusiasm alive for another season, have chosen to create a dark Premier League. In a video on their social media page, Arsenal's director of football Edu Gaspar explained the decision behind it.
The Brazilian while showing new signing Jurrien Timber around the Gunners' training facilities suggested that the club have decided to install it and keep it dark as an inspiration. If Arsenal manage to win the League, the dark Premier League trophy will replace the shiny one.
Timber was seen as visibly content with the idea, however, many fans were quick to react negatively on social media. Most of the fans were not happy with the idea and labelled the incident as cringy.
"That is absolutely tragic, if Tottenham did this they’d get absolutely rinsed," one fan commented while another added: "Arsenal win the trophy for the cringiest club of all time!"
Arsenal however seem to be well prepared ahead of the new season. The Gunners have been pretty active in the transfer window and have already added two-star midfielders Declan Rice and Kai Havertz to their ranks. It is understood that they are still in the market for a couple of more signings to strengthen the squad ahead of the new campaign.
The North London club have been without a Premier League for over two decades. For the first time in long years, they came close to winning it last season before crumbling in the final stages. Manager Mikel Arteta however will hope that the upcoming season will see his side turn it around.
