Amid the conclusion of a horrific season in the top-flight of English football, Manchester United have been hit with another massive blow.
As per the latest reports, Man United captain Bruno Fernandes is looking to leave the club and considering a move to Saudi outfit Al Hilal.

Bruno Fernandes is on the verge of a shock exit from Manchester United, with reports suggesting the Portuguese playmaker is seriously considering a lucrative move for various reasons. Although Fernandes recently said about 'living his dream' at Old Trafford, there have been notions that he was apprehensive about his stay beyond this season.
"If the club thinks it's time to part ways because they want to do some cash-in, football sometimes is like this," said Fernandes after Man United's defeat in the Europa League final at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Sporting CP player's representatives have already flown to Portugal to negotiate with the Saudi giants, who are desperate to bring Bruno to the club.
A multitude of reasons are behind Fernandes' will to leave Man United. Although the deal is not done, the consideration of leaving the Premier League club itself speaks volumes.
Al-Hilal's offer reportedly more than doubles Fernandes' salary and puts him at the heart of a Club World Cup campaign. It's a chance to compete for international honours while playing in a more settled, ambitious setup. As per The Athletic, Fernandes is set to receive a contract for four years with 25 million euros per year, triple his current wages at United. At the age of 30, this is Bruno's final opportunity for a big contract, and he may pounce on it.
Despite regular talk of 'rebuilds', United still lack a defined footballing identity. Fernandes signed a long-term contract in good faith, but progress has stalled. With no European football next season and little clarity over the club's direction, his patience appears to be wearing thin. Also, the uncertainty and growing issues under Amorim may have also been a factor.
With Al Hilal set to play in the Club World Cup, that is another big incentive for Bruno Fernandes. The Man United captain has spoken highly of playing in the elite tournaments, and it will provide him with a massive opportunity. Along with that, Manchester United's current scenario means they have very limited opportunities in the coming season with no continental football.
To be honest, this was coming for Manchester United. Bruno Fernandes was linked with a move away last season as well but ultimately decided to stay and extend his contract till 2027. With no European football, Man United's financial status is worse this season. And the Portuguese's personal ambitions, financial aspect, make it a no-brainer for him to choose a better option at the moment. Also, Al Hilal are reportedly ready to pay ₤80 million for him, which may tempt the club as well to sell their valuable asset.
