Real Madrid confirmed on Thursday (June 19) the hospitalization of striker Kylian Mbappe in USA, who is in the country for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
The Spanish club announced that Mbappe has been admitted after the Frenchman missed out Real's first match of the competition on Wednesday against Al Hilal. Mbappe, who was said to be having a fever, was not even part of the squad.

Kylian Mbappe is undergoing treatment due to a case of acute Gastroenteritis, Real Madrid announced on Thursday.
"Our player Kylian Mbappe is suffering from an acute case of gastroenteritis and has been admitted to hospital in order to undergo a series of tests and follow the appropriate course of treatment," a statement from the club said.
The France international will be undergoing a few routine tests and then his recovery procedure will begin. The treatment will be based on the cause of his disease, which can be due to multiple pathogens.

Rehydration is the primary treatment of Acute Gastroenteritis and body loses fluid due to stool and vomiting.
Kylian Mbappe is expected to be fit in a week from now. The France star will be extensively checked for his issue and once the treatment starts, he will be fit as a fiddle. But even after recovery, he may take a couple of days to be integrated into the squad for a match.
