Manchester United fans have reason to celebrate as their newly appointed manager, Ruben Amorim, has already shown he can deliver impressive results on the big stage.
The former Sporting Lisbon coach led his team to an emphatic 4-1 victory over Pep Guardiola's Manchester City in the Champions League, a performance that has raised expectations among United supporters ahead of his arrival at Old Trafford.

However, they'll need to wait a bit longer, as Amorim is set to fulfill a brief notice period with Sporting before officially taking over in England. After parting ways with Erik ten Hag on October 28, Manchester United promptly agreed to meet Amorim's €10 million (£8.3 million) release clause.
Amorim has signed a contract at Old Trafford running until June 2027, with the club holding an option to extend for a further 12 months. Sporting Lisbon, however, requested he remain in charge for three more matches, with United agreeing to the terms.
As a result, interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy will continue to guide the team until the upcoming Leicester City fixture. Amorim is set to arrive at United on November 11, giving him nearly two weeks to prepare for his debut match, thanks to the international break.
His first official game in charge will be an away clash with Ipswich Town on November 24, followed closely by home fixtures against Bodo/Glimt and Everton.
The Portuguese coach, who established his reputation by leading Sporting to two consecutive league titles, faces a substantial challenge as he joins a United team currently sitting 13th in the Premier League and struggling in the Europa League.
With expectations of turning around what has been a rocky start to the season, United fans are eagerly awaiting the fresh mindset and tactical adaptability that Amorim will bring to Old Trafford.
