Why Raphinha had fight with Barcelona Teammate and Coach Hansi Flick after Real Betis Match? Viral Video sparks Huge Concern, Coach Speaks Out!
In Barcelona's 1-1 draw against Real Betis on April 5, 2025, an incident involving Brazilian winger Raphinha grabbed attention after the final whistle.
Raphinha was involved in multiple spats after full time, but most noticeably his altercation with goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has raised eyebrows.

Despite Barcelona taking an early lead with a goal from Gavi, Real Betis responded with an equalizer by Natan. Barcelona controlled possession for most of the match but failed to secure a win.
What Happened between Raphinha after Match?
After the game ended, Raphinha was visibly upset, primarily due to controversial referee decisions. He was particularly frustrated with the refusal of a last-minute corner kick and the fact that only four minutes of added time were given. His frustration boiled over as he kicked a ball away and rushed towards the referees to express his dissatisfaction.
Teammate Robert Lewandowski stepped in to try and calm him down, but Raphinha's anger didn't subside. As he made his way toward the tunnel to head to the dressing rooms, goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who was sidelined due to injury, intervened to prevent any further confrontation. Despite ter Stegen's efforts to calm him, Raphinha pushed him away, and then the German was also seen pushing the Brazilian down the tunnel.
Raphinha has been a prolific player for Barcelona this season. The former Leeds United winger has netted 24 goals and 13 assists across all competitions so far and is a pivotal part of the Spanish giants.
Coach Hansi Flick Confirms Raphinha's Anger
Coach Hansi Flick later joked about the situation, saying that Raphinha was actually angry at him and not the referee, as the winger had been shouting at him during the incident.
"He was angry with me, not with the referee, he was yelling at me," Flick said.
What does it mean for FC Barcelona?
Although the Raphinha incident is quite normal at any club, the result on the night was a dampening one for Barcelona. The Catalan club dropped two points at home and failed to take advantage of Real Madrid's defeat earlier against Valencia. Despite that, Barcelona remain four points clear at the top with eight matches remaining in the LaLiga season.
