Al-Ettifaq staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Al-Nassr 3-2 in the Saudi Pro League. Georginio Wijnaldum was instrumental, scoring twice to overturn Al-Nassr's lead. Meanwhile, in another match, Al-Ahli defeated Damac 2-0 to close in on Al-Nassr in the standings. Ivan Toney opened the scoring early by converting Galeno's pass into a goal. Despite dominating initially, Al-Ahli faced pressure from Damac but managed to hold their lead thanks to Galeno's late goal from a loose ball.

Damac struggled to convert any of their numerous attempts into goals against Al-Ahli. Despite having 15 shots, they failed to find the net even once. Their inability to score allowed Al-Ahli to maintain their advantage and secure all three points from this encounter.
