Willian Announces Fulham Exit As Contract Ends Before Premier League Kickoff
Willian has announced his departure from Fulham after his contract expired. The Brazilian midfielder shared the news on Instagram, expressing gratitude for his time at Craven Cottage. Over two years, he made 67 appearances and scored five goals for Marco Silva's team.
Willian's Premier League journey began in 2013 when he joined Chelsea from Anzhi Makhachkala. He played 317 matches for three different clubs in England. After Chelsea, he spent a year with Arsenal before moving to Corinthians. In 2022, he returned to London to join Fulham on a one-year deal, which was extended by another year last July.

"I would like to thank Fulham for a wonderful two years," Willian wrote. "It was special to return to the Premier League and be part of this historic club and the amazing fans. I have had incredible moments and this club will always be in my heart."
Willian expressed particular appreciation for Fulham's coach, Marco Silva. "A very special thank you to our coach Marco Silva who showed me a lot of belief and gave me the confidence throughout the time we were together," he said.
During his tenure at Fulham, Willian contributed significantly to the team's performance. His experience and skills were valuable assets that helped the club navigate various challenges.
Future Support for Fulham
Despite leaving, Willian remains supportive of Fulham's future endeavors. "I wish Fulham the best of luck in their upcoming challenges and hope I will get a chance to support the team live in the future," he added.
The Brazilian midfielder's departure marks the end of an era for both him and Fulham. Fans will remember his contributions fondly as he moves on to new opportunities.
