Bengaluru, February 22: Chelsea attacker Willian has given a stern warning to his former manager Mourinho stating that his team will travel to Old Trafford with a hope of grabbing all three points and they are more than capable of beating his "friend" Jose Mourinho.

The defending Premier League champions produced a solid defensive display against La Liga leaders Barcelona in their last match in the UEFA Champions League before a late mistake from Andreas Christensen gifted the La Liga leaders an away goal to keep the match at 1-1.

Barcelona kept possession of 70% in the game but could manage to fire shot only twice at on target.

However, following the game, the goal scorer of the tie, Willian now has suggested that Chelsea will try to maintain the same form when they travel to Old Trafford at the weekend and his team will favour all the chances at Old Trafford against the Portuguese with whom he shares a solid bond since his move from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013 under Mourinho.

"He is my friend. I had a great time with him, but I am at Chelsea and he is now at Manchester United," said Willian.

Willian said: "It is totally different to play in the Premier League to the Champions League. I think we can stay at this level and we can go to Old Trafford on Sunday and play another great game.

"We have to play in a similar way. Against Manchester United, I think we can do a great job.

Chelsea will make trips to Premier League leaders Manchester City and then return to Barcelona for the away fixtures and the Brazilian claimed if the team performs as a unit and as solid defensive style they can have their preferable results like the Barcelona game in all these matches.

"Against Manchester City, it will be like the game against Barcelona - they like to have the ball. We have to stay compact and use the same plan as we used against Barcelona. We can win these games. We will go there to try to win."

United are only three points ahead of Antonio Conte's side and should Willian manage to nick a win at Old Trafford this weekend, his team could take a jump from fourth place to climb over.

The last time both the teams faced each other Chelsea managed a win with a 1-0 victory at Stamford Bridge and new Summer arrival Alvaro Morata scored the winner of the game.
