Wolves manager Vitor Pereira celebrated a crucial victory for the club after they secured a narrow 1-0 win over West Ham, easing their relegation worries. Jorgen Strand Larsen netted the decisive goal in the 21st minute at Molineux, with a slight deflection off Maximilian Kilman. This win moved Wolves 12 points clear of the relegation zone, marking an important moment for the team.
Pereira expressed his delight at the final whistle, emphasising the significance of this victory and praising his players' unity. "What I can say is that when I'm watching the game, I see a team," he told the club's official website. "When we play with this spirit, with this commitment, it's not easy [to play against]. I believe, I really believe, that we'll achieve our target."

Strand Larsen's goal was his tenth of the Premier League season, making him only the third Wolves player to reach double figures in his debut season. He follows Steven Fletcher in 2010-11 and Raul Jimenez in 2018-19. The Norwegian striker has stepped up in Matheus Cunha's absence and feels he has silenced critics along the way.
"I don't care [if the goal took a deflection], the ball went in. It doesn't matter how. I'm happy anyway," he told Sky Sports. "Ten is always the goal for a striker, and we have eight games to go. People have been doubting me a bit, so I think it's nice to show them."
Meanwhile, West Ham manager Graham Potter acknowledged their need for improvement following their fourth defeat in seven away matches across all competitions. Despite this setback, Potter was pleased with Niclas Fullkrug's return after three months out due to a hamstring injury.
"We wanted to be more compact and, as a result, the first half wasn't a good one for us," Potter told Sky Sports. "We had to adjust things at half-time, and we did. We were better in the second half... but in the end, not enough to win the game."
Potter praised Fullkrug's performance: "Really good. [You] can see what he brings to the team. We can go long into him; he picks up second balls; [he is] a threat in the box." Fullkrug played 45 minutes for West Ham for the first time in months.
The match saw Wolves survive some tense moments as Niclas Fullkrug’s header hit the crossbar and Tomas Soucek missed from close range with only Jose Sa to beat. However, Wolves held firm until full-time.
Pereira highlighted how vital it was to secure points and energise both players and fans: "This is very important and was a very important win." He noted that while their first-half performance was excellent, their second-half display showcased team spirit through shared suffering and celebration.
