Wolves manager Vitor Pereira expressed dissatisfaction with Matheus Cunha's attitude during their 3-1 loss to Chelsea. Despite Cunha's efforts, including five shots and seven touches in the opponent's box, Pereira was displeased with his body language. "He's a captain. He can be frustrated as he wants to win, but everyone in the dressing room wants to win. I don't like his body language," said Pereira.
Cunha has been a key player for Wolves this season, contributing 14 goal involvements and creating 36 chances. However, Pereira's comments have sparked speculation about a potential transfer. The Brazilian forward left the pitch directly after the match, which further fueled these rumours. Pereira emphasised that such behaviour is unacceptable from a team leader.

Meanwhile, Mario Lemina might exit Wolves during the January transfer window. The midfielder has missed five of the last six Premier League matches and expressed his wish to leave Molineux. Lemina opted out of Wolves' 3-0 defeat against Newcastle to explore new opportunities. Al-Shabab from the Saudi Pro League is interested but prefers a free transfer.
Pereira stated that Lemina will not be part of his squad while the transfer window remains open. "For me, he is out until the end of the market and when the market closes, I will see if he is my player," Pereira added. He stressed that he needs players who are fully committed to the team's goals.
Wolves find themselves just above the relegation zone following their recent defeat. Cunha has been their standout performer in an otherwise challenging season. Despite this, Pereira insists on maintaining discipline and commitment within his squad, highlighting that any uncertainty among players cannot be tolerated.
As Wolves navigate these challenges, they must address both internal dynamics and potential transfers to stabilise their performance in the league. The focus remains on ensuring that all players are aligned with the club's objectives as they move forward in this campaign.
