FIFA to announce hosts for 2018, 2022 World Cup

Zurich, Dec 2: The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) will announce the host nations for World Cup 2018 and 2022 on Thursday, Dec 2 night.

The Executive Committee members FIFA have assembled in Zurich for the meeting, where they will select the host nation for the two World Cups. The host nations will be selected through voting.

The final entries for 2018 World Cup are England, Russia and the joint bids from Belgium/Netherlands and Spain/Portugal.

The favourites for 2022 World Cup are United States, Australia, Japan, Qatar or South Korea.

FIFA World Cup is considered as one of the biggest sporting event in the earth. 2010 World Cup was held in South Africa, where Spain won the title. The venue for the 2014 World Cup is Brazil.
