After their third crucial defeat in the span of just 2 weeks, Barcelona are somehow holding on to 3rd place in the La Liga table. While coach Xavi had the confidence of the board, surprisingly, he made the decision to leave the club.

After pulling the club from the ruins, helping them win La Liga and Supercopa de España, Xavi had decided to leave Barcelona. Even so, a number of factors became the key to the downfall of the great Xavi Hernandez.

Xavi joined Barcelona back in 2021 to pull it up from the ruins. The Catalan club was lingering in the 9th place under Ronald Koeman when Xavi took over. His contributions showed instant changes to the team's performance.

These have been in the midst of unresolved financial issues that Barcelona have been suffering for a few years now. They are having to rely on free transfers during every transfer window. In the meantime, they're losing out on good players.
