Yan Diomande Transfer: Ivory Coast Winger Plots Leipzig Exit Amid PSG Interest
Yan Diomande says a move away from RB Leipzig is likely this summer, with Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool tracking the winger after a standout 2025-26 season and strong displays for Ivory Coast at the 2026 World Cup, which have increased interest in the teenager across Europe.
First of all, like I said, my dream is playing for my country and making history with my country, said Diomande. I don't have Instagram anymore, I don't have TikTok, so I can't see anything but I expect to leave [RB Leipzig] of course. I have an agent who's going to manage the rest, but for me the most important thing right now is focusing on the World Cup with my country and making history with them.

Diomande's World Cup form has raised the profile further, as Ivory Coast reached the knockout phase for the first time in the country's history, while Diomande became only the second African player on record, since 1966, to complete at least 10 dribbles and create 10 chances in one World Cup group stage, matching Quinton Fortune's 2002 achievement.
The achievement underlined Diomande's influence for Ivory Coast and helped place the RB Leipzig forward among the standout young players at the 2026 tournament. At club level, Diomande delivered 20 direct goal contributions for RB Leipzig in the 2025-26 Bundesliga, scoring 12 goals and supplying eight assists across 33 league appearances, and only Harry Kane, Michael Olise, Luis Diaz, Deniz Undav and Christoph Baumgartner recorded higher combined totals during that campaign.
Diomande also topped several Bundesliga attacking metrics for 2025-26, as the winger completed 118 dribbles, which was 50 more than any other player, and recorded 104 carries that ended with a take-on, again finishing 29 clear of the next player, underlining how often Diomande advanced the ball in one-on-one situations for RB Leipzig.

The performance data, along with Diomande's age and versatility, has encouraged transfer interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool, while RB Leipzig managing director Marcel Schafer has previously stressed the club's preference is to keep Diomande for at least one more season, creating a potential stand-off between Leipzig's planning and Diomande's expectation of a summer exit.
For now, Diomande states the focus remains on Ivory Coast's World Cup campaign, with any decision on the forward's future likely to follow after the tournament, as RB Leipzig, the interested clubs and Diomande's representatives look to resolve the next step in the teenager's career.
