Nicolo Zaniolo, an Italian forward, has ended his loan with Atalanta and returned to Fiorentina on a new temporary deal for the remainder of the season. Initially joining Galatasaray in 2023, Zaniolo spent much of his time on loan, playing for Aston Villa in 2023-24 before moving to Atalanta last July. Despite making 14 league appearances for Atalanta and scoring two goals, all his appearances were as a substitute.

Zaniolo's stint at Atalanta was cut short after playing only 344 minutes in Serie A this season. Fiorentina, another top-four contender, paid a 3.2 million loan fee to bring him back to Florence. Born in Tuscany, Zaniolo began his career in Fiorentina's youth system but was released in 2016. His return marks a significant move for both player and club.

According to Galatasaray's statement, Fiorentina holds an option to make Zaniolo's move permanent for 15.5 million at the season's end. This option provides flexibility for Fiorentina as they assess Zaniolo's impact on their squad during this period.
