Zinc Football Academy Clinches Rajasthan Senior Women's A Division Title In Debut Season

Zinc Football Academy has won the Rajasthan League Senior Women's A Division 2025-26. The Zawar-based side defeated Real Jaipur FC 8-0 in Jaipur on 07 June 2026. The win sealed their first state title and confirmed promotion to Indian Women's League 2, in the first year of their girls' academy.

This success completes a rare double for Zinc Football Academy. Their men's team has already won the Rajasthan League Senior Men's A-division this season. The girls repeated that success with the youngest squad in the tournament. The team had an average age of 15 years and 8 months.

Zinc Football Academy win Rajasthan Women s league debut

The two-legged league, run by the Rajasthan Football Association, featured five teams. The participants were Real Jaipur FC, Magan Singh Rajvi FA, Jaipur City FC, Royal FC Jaipur, and Zinc Football Academy. ZFA collected 21 points from 8 matches. They recorded 7 wins and 1 loss, scoring 24 goals and conceding 5.

The final match against Real Jaipur FC was a must-win game. Midfielder Antra Dolui scored a hat-trick in the 3rd, 20th, and 35th minutes. Winger Dangi Mardi added goals in the 15th and 36th minutes. Priyanka, Joha, and Bindiya Kumari Meena scored the other three goals.

League performance

The league figures underline the team’s control across the season. Their attack delivered three goals on average in each match. Their defence allowed less than one goal per game. The large win on the last day ensured the title and promotion margin.

Local players from Zawar were central to the title run. Footballers like Geet Meena, Bindiya Kumari Meena, Manisha Patel, and Savita Kalbeliya had key roles. Their performances showed the level of talent present in rural areas when proper support is available.

The girls’ academy started in 2025 and has collected four trophies. Before the state league, the team had already won the Doon Cup. They also secured the Asmita League Cup and the DAV U-19 Nationals. All four trophies came within a period of less than 12 months.

"I congratulate Zinc Football Girls Academy on a fantastic title win. I am truly delighted to see the youngest squad in the league, from the state-of-the-art Academy in Udaipur, standing tallest, competing fiercely against top teams from Rajasthan, and winning the senior women's league. Without a doubt, these talented youngsters represent the bright future of football in Rajasthan and across India. We wish them all the best," commented Dilip Singh Shekhawat, Secretary, Rajasthan Football Association and Joint Secretary, Rajasthan Olympics Association.

Zinc Football Academy was set up in 2017 under Vedanta Zinc Football and Sports Foundation. It is a social project of Hindustan Zinc Limited. Based in Zawar, the AIFF-accredited 3-star centre has trained over 5,000 players. It runs India’s largest residential football academy for girls.

The academy combines football training with school education and personality sessions. It has supplied players to Indian teams. Footballers like Mohammed Kaif, Prem Hansdak, Sahil Poonia, and Rajrup Sarkar have represented India. The latest women's league title adds to that development record.
