'Zizou' ready for a comeback in to soccer

Paris, Jan 13: French soccer legend Zinedine Zidane has expressed his desire to return to football in some capacity.

Zidane retired from football after France's defeat by Italy in 2006 World Cup final, after his infamous head-butt incident. He has since taken time out from the game and done charity work, but the former Juventus star feels a return could soon be on the cards.
'A return to football really attracts me. Later I will tell you how and in what way.'

Zidane also expressed regret at the way his career ended. Zidane said he had a project to build football pitches for children in Marseille, the city where he grew up.

The gifted son of Algerian immigrants, Zidane was the inspiration behind France's 1998 World Cup triumph on home soil and has been involved in charity since ending his playing career.

"Talking about it 10 years later still gives me the shivers", he said of the finest moment in his career. "I was 26. We had the best team in the world. It was extraordinary. To share that with millions of people was magic."

In his last game Zidane became the only fourth player in the world to score in two world cup finals
