Bengaluru, February 27: Zlatan Ibrahimovic is close to agreeing a deal with Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy if reports in England are believed to be true.

The coveted Swedish superstar has been a success in various leagues across Europe and looks set to move to the United States now.

Now aged 36, the superstar forward is in the dusk of his career right now and is not a regular at Manchester United as well.

He was suffering from a serious injury but to everyone's surprise, Jose Mourinho gave a contract extension at the start of the season.

However, the Swede has not played much for the Red Devils this season and is behind Romelu Lukaku in the pecking order.

LA Galaxy have been a destination for many of th superstars of Europe in the final days of their careers.

David Beckham, Steven Gerrard, Robbie Keane have all represented the west coast side and signing another superstar like Ibrahimovic would surely be a great deal for the Whites.

The Galaxy have done an excellent job revamping their roster this season, filling key needs with proven MLS commodities at multiple positions.

That includes at striker, where Ola Kamara arrives having scored 34 goals in two seasons. With the moves the Galaxy have already made, they look every bit like a team that should be able to jump back into the Western Conference playoff picture, and potentially challenge for a deep run in the post season.

Ibrahimovic is still in good health and perfect conditions to succeed in a less physical league like MLS and could take the league by storm.

He will be the marquee superstar Galaxy have missed since the departure of Robbie Keane and would be a great boost to the coverage and popularity of MLS.
