She began her journey in artistic gymnastics but switched to Para swimming after her impairment progressed. Her mother, a former swimmer, introduced her to the pool when she was five months old. Despite her initial dislike for swimming, she took it up seriously in 2018 at the Sporting Lodi club in Italy.

Her most memorable achievements include winning gold in the S7 100m freestyle and bronze in the S7 50m butterfly at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo. She completed a law degree at eCampus University in Italy in September 2021 and began studying for a master's degree in management, business, and administration. Balancing studies and sports has been challenging, but she believes that sport and study must coexist to open doors in other sectors.
