The Indian men's hockey team kickstart their Asian Games 2023 campaign against Uzbekistan on Sunday (September 24).

Harmanpreet Singh and his boys are playing the Uzbeks in their first Pool A match in Hangzhou. The Indian Hockey Team, who failed to win Gold in the last edition in Jakarta, will be hoping for the glory this time. And a decent start is extremely pivotal for that.

India have been drawn with Japan, Singapore, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan in the Pool A for the Asian Games 2023.

After a decent Asian Champions Trophy campaign, the Men in Blue will be looking forward to the Asian Games as this has been their prime focus. India have won three Gold Medals in the Asian Games, the last of which came in 2014.
