Chandigarh to host Air Force Hockey Championship from aug 4

Chandigarh, Jul 31 (UNI) The Air Force Hockey Championship 2008-09 would be organised here by 3 BRD (3 Base Repair Depot) Air Force from August 4 to 8 at the Sector 42 AstroTurf Hockey Stadium.

The Championship aims at selecting the Air Force Hockey Team for participating in the forthcoming Inter Services Hockey Championship.

Eight teams namely, Air Headquarters, Western Air Command (WAC), Maintenance Command (MC), Central Air Command (CAC), Training Command (TC), Eastern Air Command (EAC), South Western Air Command (SWAC) and Southern Air Command (SAC) would be participating in the tournament.

Air Marshal Gautam Nayyar, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command would inaugurate the Championship.
