The Indian Junior Women's Hockey Team is getting ready for the highly anticipated FIH Hockey Women's Junior World Cup 2023, which is just one month away.
Their goal is to win the coveted trophy. From November 29 to December 10, 2023, Santiago, Chile, will host the FIH Hockey Women's Junior World Cup. In all, sixteen teams will compete in the FIH Hockey Women's Junior World Cup 2023.

India is grouped alongside Canada, Germany, and Belgium in Pool C. Pool A includes the Netherlands, South Africa, Australia, and the host country, Chile. Pool B includes Argentina, Korea, Spain, and Zimbabwe.
Pool D includes England, the United States, New Zealand, and Japan. On November 29, the Indian Junior Women's Hockey Team will play their first game of the season against Canada. They will square off against Belgium on December 2nd and Germany on November 30th.
The Women's Junior Asia Cup 2023, held in Kakamigahara, Japan in June 2023, saw the Indian Junior Women's Hockey Team go undefeated in six games, earning them a spot in the FIH Hockey Women's Junior World Cup 2023.
In an exciting Final, the Indian Junior Women's Hockey Team defeated South Korea 2-1 to win the title of Champions. For India, Annu and Neelam scored, while Park Seo-yeon scored for South Korea. The Indian Junior Women's Hockey Team won the Women's Junior Asia Cup for the first time with this victory.
Coach Tushar Khandker of the Indian Junior Women's Hockey Team discussed the team dynamic, player preparation, and the squad's preparation for the FIH Hockey Women's Junior World Cup in 2023.
He said,"All of the players in the team have been doing intense training sessions. We are working on areas of improvement ahead of the FIH Hockey Women's Junior World Cup 2023 as the World Cup is just a month away now. We don't want to leave any room for error and make mistakes which can cost us dearly.
Winning the Women's Junior Asia Cup 2023 has definitely boosted the morale of the players and the spirit is high among the players. Everyone in the squad has worked hard to get to this stage and we will look to implement our strategies successfully in every game that we play."
