FIH submits action plan to improve Indian hockey's plight to IHC
New Delhi, Jan 27 (UNI) After identifying 14 areas of concern in Indian Hockey, FIH 'Promotion Indian Hockey' project leader Bob Davidzon has submitted a draft action plan for the National team to be considered by the Indian Hockey Confederation (IHC) at the end of this month.
However, the project itself has suffered a setback as discussions on the report containing the 'areas of concern', submitted to the Indian Hockey Federations in November last year, have been delayed until the next month.
''The project 'Promotion Indian Hockey' of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) in cooperation with the Indian Hockey Confederation, the Indian Olympic Association and Olympic Solidarity (IOC) shows unfortunate delay to the time schedule laid down in the project agreement,'' the FIH said in a statement.
''The report containing the 'areas of concern', submitted to the Indian >Hockey Federations mid November 2006, will now, according to information received, be discussed early February with State Presidents and members of the Executive Boards of the Indian hockey bodies after which the next steps can be decided,'' it added.
