World Hockey League Championship: Germany beat Malaysia

By Ians English
Kuala Lumpur, July 5: Malaysia's dream of booking a ticket to the 2014 World Cup fell by the wayside when they were thrashed 0-6 by Germany in the semifinal of the World Hockey League Championship (WHLC) in Malaysia's southern city of Johor Baharu.

The Malaysian team Thursday night under head coach Paul Revingthon were totally outplayed by the Germans who are ranked number one in the world.

Malaysia who are in third position of Group B have failed to reach to the top three of the championship and will have to work doubly hard to win the Asian Cup Hockey Championship in Malaysia's nothern city of Ipoh in August if they are to see any action at The Hague next year.
