Gill's 'IHF AGM' move means nothing: Aslam

By Staff

New Delhi Aug 28 (UNI) The ad-hoc committee of the Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) today made light of the so-called annual general meeting of the IHF called by KPS Gill.

Mohammad Aslam, who has been appointed asthe convenor of ad-hoc committee to run the IHF affairs by the Indian olympic Association (IOA), said,'' it is just amusing because Gill is no more a president of the IHF and has no legal authority after the IHF executive was suspended following a corruption scandal.'' Aslam asserted that the present ad-hoc committee was doing a good job and IOA chief Suresh Kalmadi was in touch with the state associations annd that must have forced Gill to make such a move .

''Kalmadi will be calling various associations about future plans and issues related to the game and that would have made Gill anxious,'' he said.

''I don't want to speak much as the matter is subjudice,'' Aslam added.
