Gurgaon school thrash St Ignatius Gumla 14-0 in Nehru Hockey

New Delhi, Nov 8 (UNI) Sandeep Kumar slammed a hat-trick as Government Senior Secondary School, Gurgaon, scored 13 goals in the second half to overwhelm St Ignatius School, Gumla, 14-0 in the Nehru Junior Boys Super League match here today.

The Gurgaon school led 1-0 at half time via a 24th minute goal from Sandeep who scored two more in the 42nd and 43rd minutes.

Others who found the target were Naveen Kumar (52nd, 58th, 67th, 69th), Kuldeep (55th, 69th), Amit (55th, 60th), Naresh (44th) and Pankaj (53rd).

In other Super League matches, Lyallpur Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Jalandhar, beat Indira Priyadarshini Higher Secondary School, Bhopal, 4-2 while, Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan, Bangladesh, played out 1-1 draw with Army Boys Sports MEG Centre, Bangalore.

Meanwhile, Government Senior Secondary, Jarkhar (Ludhiana) beat Loyola English High School, Nagaon (Assam), 4-1 to book a berth in the Super League.

Deepak Kumar (35th, 38th) scored a brace while Bhupinder Pal Singh (47th) and Gagandeep Singh (53rd) netted one each for Ludhiana school. For Assam school, Bronson Singh scored the lone goal in the 10th minute.
