Haryana wins 37th Natl Jr Women's Hockey

Gwalior, Oct 10 (UNI) Defending champions Haryana beat Jharkhand 6-2 to win the 37th National Junior Women's Hockey Championship today.

Jharkhand were runners-up last time as well. Haryana Skipper Jaideep scored in the 2nd minute, Meenakshi in the 23rd, Riturani in the 24th, Jaideep again in the 44th and Riturani in the 55th and 57th minute. The score was 3-0 at halftime.

Jharkhand's Pinki Lakra scored in the second half's 49th minute and Pashi Pradhan in the 53rd.

Parliamentarian Yoshdhara Raje Scindia distributed prizes.
