Hockey sex scandal: Ministry unhappy with probe

New Delhi, Jul 25: Neither sports ministry nor Hockey India's own disciplinary pane were satisfied with the investigation pace over Hockey sexual harassment case.

According to CNN-IBN, the investigating panel became furious as their report had been tossed aside and hockey India had made its own recommendations.

Sources said to the channel that there was no point in setting up a panel in the first place if Hockey India was determined to pass its own judgement.

Former Hockey coach MK Kaushik had been accused of sexual harassment case in Jul 2010.

Hockey India's report, of blacklisting Kaushik, would not be counted as it's a adhoc body itself, claimed the sports ministry.

After receiving Hockey India's report, the sports ministyr will rebuilt its own inquiry panel according to government and supreme court guidelines.
