Bangalore, Mar 5: 'India's World Cup dream is almost over' this is the grim truth that the country is struggling to come to terms as the team gets set to take on the undefeated Englang to squeeze into the semi finals.
After India lost to Spain 5-2 coach Jose Brasa, admitted “The World Cup dream is almost over."
“We need a miracle to advance now. If we win the next two matches and the other teams lose, then we have a chance but it will be very difficult," he added.
The team which is in Pool B has only managed to pick up just 3 points after three matches. India beat Pakistan in the first match, but fell to Austalia 5-2 in the second one.
From each pool just two teams qualify for semi finals.
The only way that India can now qualify is if they win both the upcoming matches against England on Saturday, Mar 6 and against South Africa on Sunday, Mar 8.
England has not lost even a single match in the tournament. However, there is a tiny ray of hope as India defeated the same team during the European tour.
Apart from claiming two victories, they will have to hope an pray that the other two teams including Australia and Spain perform bad.
As of now, even the country is busy praying for a miracle to shine on the national hockey team.
