The highly anticipated return of the Hockey India League is finally here after a seven-year hiatus. The auction for the 2024-25 season took place in Delhi on October 13 & 14, with a total of 168 players successfully sold during the two-day event. The eight teams have finalised their rosters for the upcoming season, signalling the league's strong comeback.
The revival of the Hockey India League is expected to have a significant impact on the Indian hockey landscape. The upcoming tournament, scheduled to start at the end of December and run through February, is set to include women’s matches alongside men’s matches for the first time, marking a significant milestone in the league's history.
