IND vs CHN Hockey Women's Finals, Asian Games: When & Where To Watch India vs China Match

Nagoya, Oct 2: India will take on defending champions China in the women's hockey gold medal match at the Asian Games 2026 at Gifu Prefectural Hockey Stadium on Friday. The final promises a high-stakes contest between two unbeaten teams, with both sides eyeing continental glory after impressive campaigns.

The match carries significance beyond the medal, as the Asian Games champions will also earn a direct berth at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. For India, the opportunity adds another layer to a campaign that could end a long wait for gold in the women's hockey competition.

India's only women's hockey gold at the Asian Games came in 1982. They have since reached the final twice, in 1998 and 2018, but finished with silver after losing to South Korea and Japan, respectively. A victory over China would therefore mark a significant milestone for the Indian team.
