Azlan Shah Cup: India beat Pak 4-2

Ipoh (Malaysia), May 8: Defending champions India thrashed Pakistan 4-2 in the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup prelims here on Friday, May 7.

India was leading 1-0 at the end of the first half. In the second half, the defending champs managed to pump in three goals to win the match.

Sardar Singh scored the first goal from a rebound off India's second penalty corner while Mandeep Antil (47th minute), Gurbaj Singh (53rd) and Tushar Khandker (56th) scored the three goals in the second half.

Mohammad Imran (37th) and Kashif Ali (66th) scored the two goals for Pakistan.

In 2009, India lifted the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup after 13 years by defeating the hosts, Malaysia at 3-1 in the finals.
