Glasgow, July 26: The Indian men's hockey team defeated Scotland 6-2 in their second Pool A match of the Commonwealth Games at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre here Saturday.

After drubbing Wales 3-1 in the opener, India delivered a strong performance to drub the hosts and go top of their group with six points.

Penalty corner specialists Rupinder Pal Singh and V.R. Raghunath scored a brace each while Gurbaj Singh and Gurwinder Chandi scored a field goal each.
Nicholas Parkes and Kenny Bain scored for the hosts.
India will take on defending champions Australia in their third game of the pool. The latter decimated Wales 7-1 in an earlier game on Saturday. India lost 0-8 in the final of the Delhi Commonwealth Games four years ago.
