India vs Great Britain Head to Head Record in Hockey Ahead of Paris Olympics 2024 Quarter-Final
The Indian Men's Hockey Team will lock horns with Great Britain in the quarterfinals of the ongoing Paris Olympics 2024 on Sunday (August 4). This will be a rematch from the Tokyo 2020 last eight match when India beat Great Britain 3-1 and later went on to clinch a bronze medal.
With eyes on a second successive medal, the Indian men's hockey team come into the match on the back of a stunning 3-2 win over Australia in their last Pool B match on Friday (August 2).

It was the Indian men's team's first victory against Australia in the Olympics since 1972 Munich games. India bounced back from a 1-2 loss to the defending champions, Belgium, in their previous game.
With the victory over Australia, India finished second in Pool B, and will now face Great Britain in the quarterfinals of the ongoing marquee event. They earlier drew with Argentina after victories over New Zealand and Ireland.
Great Britain booked their last 8 spot as the third-placed team in Pool A. Great Britain suffered their only loss in the pool stage in the final match against Germany. They had managed to draw against Netherlands and South Africa before wins over Spain and France.
As mentioned earlier, this will not be India's first meeting against Great Britain, having met them in Olympics several times in previous editions and also in various other competitions such as World League Final, Champions Trophy and Olympic Qualifiers. Here is a look at the head to head record:
