The men's hockey team had an outstanding start to their Asian Games 2023 campaign by beating Uzbekistan 16-0 in the first match. Harmanpreet Singh, the Indian captain didn't play but Mandeep Singh, Varun Kumar and others starred for the Men in Blue as they decimated a hapless Uzbek side.
Singapore, on the other hand, have made a stuttering start for themselves as they were humbled by Pakistan. Singapore have India as their next opponent, and it is to be seen how they fare against the strongest team in Asia.
