Sardara Singh, 26, was part of the team that had failed to qualify for the Beijing Olympics four years ago. They lost to Great Britain 0-2 in the final of qualifying tournament in Chile. But for Sardara, it is a thing of the past now.
"The memories of Chile are hard to forget but we have slowly managed to overcome that," he said, adding that the spirits were high in the team this time and slowly it was returning on the right track. The soft-spoken man said India's Olympic preparations would depend on how it performs in the ongoing matches in Spain. "Based on our performance, we will plan our strategies," he said.
