Only 50 days remain before the Indian Men's Hockey Team begins its quest for the Paris 2024 Olympics gold medal. The team aims to end a 44-year gold medal drought. India is placed in Pool B alongside Belgium, Australia, Argentina, New Zealand, and Ireland. They must secure a top-four finish to progress to the Quarter-Finals.
Pool A includes the Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, South Africa, and hosts France. The Paris 2024 Olympics promises an intense 12-team men's hockey tournament. The Indian Men's Hockey Team will open its campaign against New Zealand on 27th July.

Following the opening match, India will face Argentina on 29th July, Ireland on 30th July, Belgium on 1st August, and Australia on 2nd August. These matches will be crucial for India's advancement in the tournament.
Jyoti Singh, Captain of the Indian Junior Women's Hockey Team, expressed her admiration for the Indian Men's Hockey Team. "I was overjoyed to see the Men's Team end a 41-year medal drought in Tokyo. The energy and unity of the team were remarkable during their training at SAI," she said.
"The team is focused and enjoys each other's company. We want them to play their best hockey in Paris, reach the Final, and bring home the Gold medal," she added.
Gurjot Singh, a forward in the Indian Men's Hockey Team, shared his confidence in the team's performance. "The team is performing well in the FIH Pro League, scoring from penalty corners and field goals while showcasing exemplary defensive skills," he noted.
"Everyone looks fit and is set to peak right in time for the Paris 2024 Olympics. The whole country was happy after the Bronze medal in Tokyo, and now everyone, the senior team included, expects a Gold medal.
"The Indian Junior Men's Hockey Team played practice matches against them, and I could feel the team was different compared to the last time. They have significantly improved upon their combinations and teamwork. I am confident the team will clinch the Gold medal at the Olympics this time,” he added.
On this special milestone, Hockey India is launching a podcast series titled "Hockey te Charcha ft. Familia." The series will delve into the lives of the family members of Indian Men's Hockey Team players, highlighting their sacrifices and jubilations throughout the players' careers.
