Inter Services Hockey Championship from July 16

Chandigarh, July 13 (UNI) The 55th Inter Services Hockey Championship, organised by 3 Base Repair Depot (3 BRD), Chandigarh on behalf of Air Force Sports Control Board under the aegis of Services Sports Control Board, will held in the city from July 16-19.

An official press release said, total four teams would participate in the championship at Sector 42 Hockey Stadium. Apart from the Indian Air Force and Indian Navy teams, the Indian Army would be fielding two teams namely Army Red and Army Green.

''The aim of the championship is to select the services hockey team, which will subsequently participate in the national games and other championships,'' the release said.

The Championship will be inaugurated by Air Officer Commanding 3 BRD Air Force, Air Commodore R K Srivastava, who is the Chief Patron for the Championship.
