Jyoti Reaches 100 International Caps For India Against Japan In Auckland
Indian Women’s Hockey Team midfielder Jyoti reached 100 senior international caps during India’s match against Japan in the FIH Women’s Hockey Nations Cup in New Zealand on Tuesday. Hockey India congratulated her on the milestone, which came in Auckland on 16th June 2026.
Hailing from Haryana, Jyoti made her international debut in 2019 against Malaysia in a bilateral Test Series. Hockey India said she has been known for her hard work and calm play in midfield, and has played an important role in India’s performances on the international stage.

Major tournaments and team success
Jyoti has represented India in several major events, including the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games, where the team won bronze. She was also part of the squads that won gold in the Women’s Asian Champions Trophy in Ranchi and Rajgir, and played in FIH Hockey Pro League and Asia Cup campaigns.

Hockey India President Dr. Dilip Tirkey praised Jyoti’s dedication, consistency and hard work, and said she has been an important member of the side. Hockey India Secretary General Shri Bhola Nath Singh also congratulated her, calling the 100-cap mark a major achievement and a sign of her perseverance.
