Pakistan vs Korea LIVE Score: Pakistan will be hoping for redemption as they take on South Korea in the first match of the Hero Asian Champions Trophy 2023 today (August 4) at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium in Chennai.
The Koreans won their first match 2-1 against Japan yesterday, while Pakistan fell to a damaging 3-1 defeat at the hands of Malaysia. Korea, at the moment, are sitting third in the points table, whereas Pakistan are sitting 5th in the table.

Pakistan somehow fail to score again. A clear opportunity for them but two players fall to convert the ball in the back of the net as Korean keeper makes a couple of decent saves. On the other side, Korea now win a penalty corner.
Korea was awarded a penalty corner but they have wasted their opportunity. The injection went to the second battery but they couldn't take a proper bite of it.
Jihun Yang's goal has brought Korea back in this game. Pakistan will be kicking themselves for squandering those countless opportunities. The game is superbly poised as we enter the final five minutes of the final quarter. Can either of them find a winner?

Excellent long ball from Korea but the attack is halted as Murtaza makes a crucial interception and comes out with the ball. Meanwhile, Ahtisham Aslam has gone off the field after suffering an injury.
With just 11 minutes to go, Pakistan will have to defend deep and also find ways to attack. If they go into a shell, that won't help them.
But Korea won't have any penalty as the Video Assistant Referee dismisses the claim.

Korea's no. 8 Dain Son is hobbling off after an injury. That is the end for him in this match and Korea will make a substitution soon. He made his national team debut in the last match.
Umer Bhutta uses his experience to win a foul for Pakistan. The Pakistani captain's presence is a massive boon for them. They make another sneaky entry and Hannan almost scored his double.
Abdul Hannan's deflected shot from a penalty corner goes just wide. Excellent improvisation by the Pakistan team but they are yet to score that elusive 2nd goal. It is still a slender lead for them with 6 minutes to play of the 3rd quarter.
Korea asked for a review. A vicious shot from a penalty corner came off the post after a brilliant Ajmal Hussain save, but the Koreans are claiming it also took a touch of a Pakistani foot. But VAR denies their claim and Korea lose their video referral.
Pakistan have made bright start in the second half and the pace from the Pakistanis is causing trouble for Korea. Meanwhile the Koreans are claiming for another card for Muhammed Umer Bhutta, but not given.
Pakistan coach Muhammad Saqlain is still not happy for missing the chances. Pakistan are leading by a goal but have missed three or more opportnties. He says attacking hockey is key for them and believes his team can win the match.
Pakistan have made more circle penetrations (11-8), more possession (54-46) so far in the first two quarters of the match. And the scoreline also favours Umer Bhutta and his team.
Abdul Hannan's solitary but crucial goal has given Pakistan a slender lead as we go into the break. They were by far the better side in the first two quarters and will be content with the scoreline. Korea, meanwhile have a lot to think on and improve in the second half.
Arshad Liyaqat's pass just evades Abdul Hannan as Pakistan fail to score their 2nd goal. A big chance wasted and a huge escape for Korea.
Goal! Pakistan's golden boy, Hannan gives his team a 1-0 lead over Korea in the 18th minute. Abdul Rana made the generation in the D and passed towards an alert Hannan, who obliged and just deflected it in the goal post.
The second quarter of the match begins and Pakistan strikers are looking to make penetrations in the Korean circle. The Pakistani side take a review for penalty corner but the TV umpire turns it down.
