MP-Azerbaijan hockey match ends in draw

Gwalior, Dec 7 (UNI) A match between Azerbaijan and the Madhya Pradesh Women's Hockey Academy ended in a 3-3 draw here today.

The encounter, on the North-Central Railway's astroturf ground, witnessed three field goals and conversion of as many penalty corners. The first field goal was scored in the 7th minute by Azerbaijan's Mirzalieva Dilfuza and the second by her teammate Momdova Jhun in the 20th.

Just two minutes later, the Academy's Vineeta converted a penalty corner. She scored a field goal in the 32nd. Azerbaijan's Aleeva Miyong converted a penalty corner in the 33rd and the Academy's S Ranjeeta did likewise in the second half. The Academy failed to capitalise on a few further penalty corners.
