Day 2 of the National Games 2025 hockey events saw Haryana's women's team secure a 4-0 victory over Karnataka in Haridwar on Wednesday (February 4). Captain Rani scored twice, with Ishika and Mahima Choudhary adding to the tally. This defeat placed Karnataka at the bottom of Pool A after two consecutive losses.
In another women's match, Maharashtra defeated hosts Uttarakhand 3-0. Sanika Chandrakant Mane, Himanshi Sharad Gawande, and Durga Raju Shinde each found the net early in the game.

Meanwhile, Mizoram and Manipur played out a 2-2 draw at the Vandana Katariya Hockey Stadium. Lily Chanu Mayengbam scored first for Manipur, but F. Lalbiaksiami's brace gave Mizoram a brief lead before Pinky Devi Thokchom equalised.
In the men's competition, Odisha edged past Madhya Pradesh with a narrow 1-0 win. Nitin Mukesh Tigga's penalty corner conversion in the 53rd minute secured the victory for Odisha. Tamil Nadu faced Maharashtra in another match, where they lost 1-2 despite Sathish B scoring for them. Maharashtra's Sunil Walmiki and Rohan Patil both scored from penalty corners to clinch the win.
The final men's match of the day featured Haryana overpowering Uttarakhand with an 8-4 scoreline. Mandeep Mor was instrumental for Haryana, scoring five goals throughout the game. In men's hockey, Odisha narrowly beat Madhya Pradesh 1-0, Maharashtra triumphed over Tamil Nadu 2-1, and Haryana outscored Uttarakhand in a high-scoring encounter.
