However, JSW Soorma responded swiftly, with Penny Squibb equalizing in the 28th minute via a penalty corner. The Warriors ultimately sealed the title in the dying moments, as Rutuja struck again in the 56th minute to secure the win.

From the start, both teams displayed exceptional skill and determination. Odisha's Freeke Moes initiated early attacking efforts, while JSW Soorma maintained defensive solidity. Despite several promising moves, the first quarter ended goalless, with Soorma's goalkeeper Savita making crucial saves to keep her side in the game.

The second quarter brought the breakthrough for Odisha Warriors, as a deflected pass from Victoria Sauze created an opening for Rutuja, who expertly lifted the ball over the onrushing Savita. Just before halftime, Soorma fought back and leveled the score when Penny Squibb's powerful drag flick found the bottom corner of the net.

The intensity remained high in the third quarter, with Soorma pressing forward through Charlotte Englebert and Olivia Shannon. Despite earning multiple penalty corners, they were unable to convert, as Odisha's goalkeeper Jocelyn Bartram stood firm.

With the game hanging in the balance, the final quarter saw both sides adopting a cautious approach. However, Odisha seized the decisive moment when Rutuja capitalized on a loose ball in the circle and slotted it between Savita's legs to reclaim the lead. The Warriors effectively held off Soorma's late advances to clinch the historic victory.
