Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy emerged victorious in both Junior and Sub Junior categories on the final day of the 1st Hockey India Junior and Sub Junior Men Academy Championship 2023 - (Zone A).

They secured wins against Ghumanhera Riser's Academy and Namdhari XI in the respective finals. HAR Hockey Academy claimed third place in the Sub Junior Category, while Army Boys Sports Company secured the third position in the Junior Category.

Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy Claims The Championship Title

In the Sub Junior Category final, Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy secured a resounding 6-1 victory over Ghumanhera Riser's Academy. Inderjit Singh's hattrick (2', 8', 32') led Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy's charge, accompanied by Charanjeet Singh's brace (35', 44') and a final-quarter field goal by Deepakpreet Singh (55').

Tashu (37') managed a goal for Ghumanhera Riser's Academy in the third quarter. Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy's formidable performance left no room for further errors, clinching the Gold in the championship.

HAR Hockey Academy Secures The Third Position

In the Sub Junior Category's 3rd/4th place match, HAR Hockey Academy triumphed over Raja Karan Hockey Academy with a 5-2 victory. Captain Sachin (13', 14') and Aman (19', 48') each contributed a brace, while Sahil (57') added the final goal for HAR Hockey Academy.

Despite goals from Vansh (29') and Mayank Rawat (39') for Raja Karan Hockey Academy, their efforts fell short in preventing HAR Hockey Academy from securing the Bronze. HAR Hockey Academy's consistent performance sealed their third-place finish in the tournament.

Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy Emerges Victorious In Finals

In the Junior Category final, Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy secured a 3-1 victory against Namdhari XI. Captain Navraj Singh (14') initiated the scoring for Namdhari XI with a penalty corner conversion in the first quarter. Japnit Singh from Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy responded with a penalty corner conversion in the second quarter, leveling the score.

Japnit continued his stellar performance, scoring a field goal in the third quarter and another penalty corner conversion in the fourth, completing a hattrick. Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy's dominant display throughout the tournament culminated in them clinching the Gold, showcasing their prowess and securing victory in the championship.

Army Boys Sports Company Clinches The Bronze Medal

In the Junior Category's 3rd/4th place match, Army Boys Sports Company secured a 3-1 victory over HAR Hockey Academy. Nitesh Sharma (16') scored early in the second quarter, giving Army Boys Sports Company the lead, which was further extended with a penalty corner conversion by Manjeet (28').

Despite HAR Hockey Academy's response with a field goal from Ravinder (33') in the third quarter, Samir (57') sealed the win for Army Boys Sports Company in the final quarter, solidifying their third-place finish. The match concluded with Army Boys Sports Company confirming their victory over HAR Hockey Academy in the quest for the bronze medal.
