After a humiliating loss against the USA in the first game, the Indian women's hockey team made a great comeback against New Zealand, defeating them 3-1 in the Pool B game of the Women's FIH Hockey Olympic qualifiers 2024 at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Stadium in Ranchi.

Out of the six matches played, India won four, Italy won one, and there was one draw. The top two teams from each pool will then move on to the semifinals scheduled for Thursday.
