Para rower, who began his journey in the sport in 2016, has made significant strides. Introduced to Para sports by Tim Matthews, he found his passion for rowing. Matthews, a talent identification manager for Paralympics Australia, saw a video of him using a rowing machine and encouraged him to pursue the sport.

In 2023, he was named Male Para Athlete of the Year by the South Australian Sports Institute. Alongside crewmate Nikki Ayers, he received the Para Crew of the Year award from World Rowing. The duo also won the same title at the Hancock Prospecting Rower of the Year Awards in Australia.
At the same event, he was honoured with the Rower's Rower of the Year award and the Gina Rinehart AO Rowing Leadership Award. These accolades highlight his dedication and skill in Para rowing.
In 2022, he teamed up with Nikki Ayers to compete in the PR3 mixed double sculls at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. He expressed their shared goal: "I know me and Nikki are hoping to be the guys who are toeing that line. That is the aim."
Outside of rowing, he enjoys playing music, camping, and public speaking. He is supported by his wife Jessica, son Wolfgang, and daughter Aspen. His heroes include his parents and Australian rower James McRae.
He trains with the South Australia Sports Institute (SASI) and Torrens Rowing Club. His coaches play a crucial role in his development as an athlete. Their guidance has been instrumental in his achievements so far.
