India women’s team win second-straight Kabaddi World Cup in dominating fashion

The Indian women's kabaddi team reaffirmed their dominance on the global stage by clinching the Women's Kabaddi World Cup title in Dhaka, defeating Chinese Taipei 35-28 in a gripping final.

With this victory, India successfully defended their crown, securing back-to-back World Cup triumphs and further strengthening their legacy in the sport.

Their journey to the title was marked by consistency, composure, and commanding performances. India breezed through the group stage with an unbeaten record, displaying superior agility, tactical awareness, and defensive solidity.

The team carried this momentum into the semi-finals, registering an emphatic 33-21 win over Iran-one of the strongest competitors in the women's kabaddi circuit. Chinese Taipei, too, showed excellent form throughout the tournament, topping their group without a single loss and overcoming hosts Bangladesh 25-18 in their semi-final clash to set up an exciting finale.

The final lived up to expectations, with India producing a well-rounded show to outplay a spirited Chinese Taipei side. The raiders executed their strategies with precision, while the defenders held firm during crucial moments, helping the team stay ahead throughout the contest.

The team received wide praise from across the kabaddi fraternity. Haryana Steelers Head Coach Manpreet Singh applauded the champions for their exceptional run, saying, "The women's team has delivered a performance the whole nation can be proud of.
