Kabaddi coach in hospital, after MLA passes lewd remark

Gurgaon, March 23: A Congress MLA has shot to the limelight after passing an inappropriate comment at the Indian women's kabaddi team coach Sunil Dabas.

During a function at a school, where the kabaddi coach who is also a teacher, she fainted after the MLA, Rao Dharmpal pointed to what she was wearing.

According to reports, after seeing her dressed in jeans and shirt, the MLA questioned as to why she was wearing such clothes. On hearing his comments, a humiliated Dabas, allegedly fainted.

Soon after the incident, the college students started protesting and the MLA left in a hurry under police escort.

However, he defended what he said by claiming that it was a piece of 'advice'. He further said that all the other teachers were dressed in a 'dignified' manner either in a saree or salwar suit, while Dabas was the only one in jeans and shirt.

He alleged that this was a political conspiracy. He also 'appealed to the people not to get their wards admitted to government colleges as they were in a very poor state'.

Meanwhile, Dabas's brother has blamed the MLA for not being 'courteous and passing an insulting remark'. He has also warned that he will take action. Dabas is recovering at Medanta Hospital.
